| Arts so fine Van Gogh would be proud
If a picture is worth a thousand words, then The Van Gogh: The Virginia Arts Festival House will be teeming with talk and be the talk of the town.
In the home, 11 stunning vintage Virginia Arts Festival promotional posters will be scattered throughout with their brilliant colors and dramatic themes. Visitors will see the likes of ballet, jazz legends, Broadway musicals and even the Coast Guard Silent Drill Team – all framed in their glory and hung on the walls to help bring to life Virginia’s rich culture and artistic influences.
“While a large percentage of the community participates in the festival, we hope to introduce Homearama visitors to the Virginia Arts Festival and the world-class arts we bring to the community,” said Robert Cross, executive director for the Virginia Arts Festival.
Also seen throughout the house will be beautiful photos by local photographer Eva Freyss of Foto by Eve. Born and raised in Sweden, Freyss is an award-winning nationally known portrait photographer specializing in children, mother and child, and families.
Not only will the sights of the arts surround visitors, but they will be able to enjoy the sounds of local performers who will bring their musical talents to the home during the course of the show. Expect to hear a variety of performers, even including the Virginia Arts Festival’s Education Outreach group, Rhythm Project, with its steel band beats.
