| Kidarama at Homearama - Saturday, October 11, 12-2 p.m., Ashville Park, Virginia Beach
Children who come to Homearama on Saturday, October, 11, will find a special party just for them: Kidarama at Homearama. The festivities will take place from 12-2 p.m. at the 2008 TBA Charity House, the Connor Glenn.
Activities will include:
- Face-painting
- CHKD’s “Buddy Brigade” pet therapists and mascot Healthy Bear
- Finger casting with CHKD’s orthopedic experts
- Fun, hands-on activities to teach children and parents about health and safety. safety
The 2007 TBA Charity House is named for 14-year-old Conner Glenn Snead of Chesapeake, who has been treated at CHKD since he was 9-months-old for the rare disorder partial trisomy 18. All proceeds from the sale of the home will benefit Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters.
The 5,200 sq. ft Conner Glenn features 5 bedrooms, 4 baths and many exciting amenities. Built by Herb Watson of The Walters Co. and sponsored by Monarch Bank, the 2008 Charity House is one of 7 showcase homes in Homearama 2008. Since 1988, TBA members have helped build 18 Charity Houses, which have raised more than $1 million for local children’s programs. |
