About the builder Erin Widener Speckhart learned the building business from her dad, veteran builder Bob Widener, who built in the very first Homearama in 1982 and in many since that time. After moving to North Carolina in 1997, she formed Allenstar Homes and specialized in historic in-fill projects. Speckhart is now back in the area and working in partnership with her dad.
They have won numerous awards throughout the years at home shows including Homearama and the Parade of Homes in Winston-Salem, N.C. "Careful planning is critical to a well-built home. We constantly look for opportunities to optimize the livability and functionality of the homes we build. We pride ourselves on paying attention to the smallest details," says Speckhart.
