About the builder

Veteran Homearama builders John W. “Chip” Iuliano and Sam Cohen each bring more than 30 years experience in home building to this year’s event with their joint venture, Next Level Group L.L.C.

As the 2004 past president of Tidewater Builders Association and the chairman of Homearama in 1998 and 1999, Iuliano has been a strong presence in TBA leadership over the years. Since his first Homearama entry in 1992, Iuliano has garnered numerous Critics’ Choice and People’s Choice awards for his work and continues to provide his clients with his personal attention to successfully create the homes they want.

Sam Cohen has been building in Homearama since 1997 and served as chair of the event last year. A hands-on builder, he learned every aspect of home building from one of the area’s most prominent builders. Over the years he has earned countless Critics’ Choice and People’s Choice awards for his signature craftsmanship, which can be found in each home he constructs in neighborhoods throughout Hampton Roads.
