Kick off your Memorial Day festivities by celebrating Tidewater Builders Association’s Spring Homearama opening with champagne and barbecue on Friday, May 27, from 4-7 p.m. at Eagle’s Nest in Virginia Beach.

You’ll be the first to see the nine fully furnished and landscaped custom homes in this up-and-coming southern Virginia Beach neighborhood. Meet and mingle with the talented builders behind the homes while also enjoying a casual evening with friends and music from Lewis McGehee. Former astronaut Susan Kilrain, a veteran of more than 471 hours of space travel, will also be at the Space Exploration House to greet visitors.

Preview Party gates open at 3:30 p.m. and the opening ceremony will take place from 4-4:30 p.m. Sink your teeth into mouth-watering pork and chicken barbecue, coleslaw, baked beans and potato salad. For dessert, enjoy mini cupcakes from Carolina Cupcakery, as well as adult beverages. Tickets cost $30 until Friday, May 20. Afterwards, tickets go up to $35.
