Need some decorating ideas to help you decorate for your next special occasion? Bring your camera and stop by the Celebration House at Tidewater Builders Association’s Spring Homearama in Virginia Beach’s Eagle’s Nest Community. It’s one of nine custom showcase homes on display from May 28-June 12.
No surprise it was built, decorated and furnished by the builder-interior design team of Jack and Margaret Schoch of J.F. Schoch Building Corp. After all, they love to share life’s joys with family and friends.
The Celebration House, features a dramatic, two-story entrance, which invites all to come inside. The open floor plan is ideal for entertaining and has access to an outdoor living area and pool.
Throughout the house, theme rooms are decorated for some of life’s most important celebrations. The first is the elegant dining room, where everything is trimmed in gold, including the china. On this particular occasion, the Schochs are celebrating a 50th wedding anniversary.
Recognizing Hampton Roads’ mighty military presence and the price of freedom, the family room is decked out to celebrate a hero’s homecoming.
Upstairs, the nursery is outfitted for a baby shower. It’s a girl, and the keepsake furnishings are sure to coax a little longing and lots of oohs and ahhs. In the twin boys’ bedroom, everything is twice as nice. Word has it, it’s their 13th birthday, and their party is a surprise!
It’s looking a lot like Christmas in the room over the garage. Inside, you’ll get a glimpse of how the Schochs celebrate with two or three Christmas trees in full glory.
